The Department of Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) in Software Development at Nar Bahadur Bhandari Government College (NBBGC) is committed to providing quality, skill-oriented education that bridges the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. The programme is designed in accordance with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), integrating theoretical knowledge with practical training to develop competent software professionals.
The department offers a learner-centric environment where students gain hands-on experience in programming, database management, web and mobile application development, software testing, and emerging technologies through laboratory sessions, projects, internships, workshops, and industry interactions.

The B.Voc in Software Development is a three-year undergraduate programme. It has been formulated with the guidelines of the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) 2023 as well as those laid down by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) 2023, which has been implemented as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The programme is designed to fulfil the growing need for educational programs that provide an opportunity to combine general education with vocational training for a broad-based development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills through its 60:40 skill/lab courses and general subjects in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
